A big thank you to everyone for making our Culture Night such a memorable and successful event. We had a great response to both installations with a record 800 people visiting CMC between 6:00pm and midnight.

CMC actively engaged with new media by posting live updates to Twitter and Facebook throughout the night. This was our first time using social media to cover an event in real time, and we received some very positive feedback and appreciation for our work. Here are a few comments posted on Twitter:

For those who didn't get to visit on the night, Brian Bridges' outdoor multi-speaker sound installation, Spectral Space, continues in CMC's courtyard until Friday 2 October, running from 12.00-4.00pm daily. We will also be posting video highlights of the both installations on our web site in the coming weeks.

Here's a screen shot taken from one of the iPod Touches which will be used for one of CMC's Culture Night sound installations on 25 September. The points on the grid can be used in various combinations to produce different sounds. Two other iPods/iPhone will be used to control lighting and sound on the night.
