Fleishmann Centenary Year Reception Photos

As part of the Fleischmann Centenary Programme in 2010, the Contemporary Music Centre welcomed members of the Fleischmann family and his former colleagues and friends to a reception on Friday, 19 February. 
Aloys Fleischmann (1910-1992) made a major contribution to the development of music in Ireland as composer, teacher and crusading member of many organisations and committees, among them the Arts Council.

New music specialist Garth Knox gave a talk in CMC on pieces for viola and computer in advance of his performance as part of the Dublin Sound Lab festival on 26 November 2009.

 

New Music Salon - the Cashell Trio

Photos taken during CMC's final new music Salon of 2009 in the Goethe Institute, Merrion Square, Dublin on 19 November. The Cashell Trio performed works by Raymond Deane and Benjamin Dwyer.

CMC New Music Salon - Kevin Hanafin

A short clip from CMC's new music Salon series which took place at the Goethe Institute on Merrion Square with Kevin Hanafin (saxophone) and Redmond O'Toole (Brahms guitar) on 12 November 2009.

The extract features a performance of Greg Caffrey's work for solo soprano saxophone, 'Two Little Miniatures', performed by Kevin Hanafin, with an introduction to the work from the composer.
